How To: Work A Room

Does walking solo into a room of 200 people excite and energize you? Or do you feel anxious, intimidated and stressed?

I'm the former, and years ago several millennial members of my team told me they were the latter... and asked if I could give them some tips to make galas and networking events less overwhelming.

So I put together an impromptu "How To Work a Room" workshop with some practical, easy tips on navigating the world of networking.

I soon found myself hosting it for local teams and organizations, and it has become one of my very favorite topics.

Whether you're an introvert or an extrovert, industry and community events can make anxiety bubble over.

Sometimes, it seems silly to offer coaching and consulting on this topic... but I've found people are genuinely grateful and excited to learn some basic ways to improve their approach to the ever-intimidating networking event.

I'm making the full presentation available here... but I think the true value is in the hands-on discussion of the topic.
