How To: Play With Color & Prop Styling In Your Decor
Last night marked our very first Gallery Gathering in the 211 South contemporary art gallery at Engel & Völkers Bentonville.
We had a room full of brilliant people with day jobs at places like Walmart, Haleon, Arkansas Community Foundation, the Mars Agency, the NWA Home Builders Association, Sager Classical Academy and 5G Sales & Marketing (to name a few).
But more interestingly, a common thread was the desire to mix, mingle and learn how to make more confident design choices, incorporate color and infuse personality into the places we retreat at the end of that work day.
Our brilliant featured expert Hope Johnstone won the room with her easy warmth and practical tips. Things that come naturally to a prop stylist - such as finding a spark, leaning into the research and styling with a "waterfall" approach to captivate the eye - had the room energized and eager to act on bringing their homes to life.
As planned, Hope translated the brilliant inspiration of her Instagram account into design cues and simple ways to turn the fond memories of a special trip into everyday inspiration.
