NWA Home Care & Service Providers

I've shared a little bit about why I feel so strongly about making connections, referrals and recommendations as well as why I believe that giving and sharing information freely is always the right thing to do.

Honestly, I wouldn't have a career if not for all the word of mouth, kindnesses and assists I've received through the years... so I make it part of my weekly work to be sure I'm paying it forward. (In fact, here's a list of my favorite NWA spots & businesses!)

I've noticed that as a realtor I become a family's very best friend for about 60 - 90 days, and they rely on me for almost every single decision during that period. In the course of helping someone buy or sell a home, I'm likely to give at least 4 - 6 recommendations for my very favorite service providers.

So... I've also consolidated my favorites here. Because: to whom much is given, much is required.

Flooring: 

• Normally I love a local business, but I have been really impressed with CarpetOne in Rogers. I suggest asking for Rachel, who will get back to you and give you a speedy quote quickly. She has taken excellent care of me as well as several clients and friends. Reach out if you want a direct intro. 

Handyman Services: 

• Jordan Way is my absolute go-to. He is the most solid guy on the planet, and has done everything from hanging wine racks and outdoor swings to building 100-pound dog proof gates for me. He also does large-scale renovation and the tiniest of projects. Text me and I'll connect you. He is good, good people. Trust me.

Insurance:

• Luke Collins at Goosehead Insurance is the guy. He excels at getting great, speedy quotes from a number of providers and finding the best package at the best price point for unique needs. He is also super knowledgeable about trends in roof claims, natural disaster, flooding... I depend on him to have answers.

Home Inspection:

• A good home inspector can help you spot issues before you purchase your new home, explain things in simple terms and coach you on what's important to address (and what isn't). I trust Marty Girod with A Plus Certified Home Inspection and always recommend him to my clients.

Home Mortgage Lenders:

• I am very loyal to northwest Arkansas businesses and love doing business in my own community. But I make a huge exception for Chris Ledbetter with First Trust Home Loans out of Little Rock. He is incredibly responsive, smart, helpful, creative, resourceful and genuinely wants to help people make wise financial decisions... as well as get into their dream home in NWA.

Home Warranty:

• Please get a home warranty for unexpected issues and repairs - I feel so strongly about this to avoid sudden expenses! It's well worth the cost... like insurance for your home's components. I've used 2-10 Home Warranty for nearly 20 years - you just set it up online and it's live in 30 days.

Movers:

• You Move Me: this team is absolutely fantastic. I had a chaotic double move and they handled loading and storage of the contents of my home. They also handled an enormous upright grand piano and they do hot tub moving, which most moving companies will not do (see below).

• College Hunks: for moving and junk removal, the local team is excellent.

• Hot tubs are specialty items, so you'll need Eric at NWA Hot Tub Movers. Provide pictures of both locations, make, model and any obstacles (fences, hills, stairs) and they'll be able to help.

• Supplies: this may seem silly, but I suggest ordering your moving supplies from Walmart.com. If you're down to the wire and buying them in store or somewhere like Lowe's, Home Depot or U-Haul on an as needed (or as you run out) basis, you pay so much more. The Pen + Gear brand will ship to your door (boxes arriving in a box, ironically) and you can pre-order your tape, Sharpies and packing paper all in one fell swoop.

Painters: 

• Ruben Ramirez and his wife Priscilla have their own business (Grace Painting) and they are phenomenal. Responsive, well-priced, speedy, hard-working and just lovely humans. They can do interior and exterior painting, patchwork, cabinets, doors and garage epoxy with great pricing. Highly recommend. Just text Priscilla for a quote (956-569-2033).

• I also trust Schneider Painting for both interior and exterior painting (they transformed my Bella Vista treehouse). 

Plumbers:

• Davis Plumbing is super responsive, and their technicians have been kind, helpful and friendly. They also do after-hours emergencies and know Bella Vista properties well.

Septic Service & Repair: 

• BBB Septic can assist with installation, pumping, regular service, repair and other related issues.
